Here is some basic information to know for those headed to the polls on Election Day:
What time do polls open and close in Illinois?
Polling locations open Tuesday at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
As long as you are in line by 7 p.m., you can cast a ballot. Polling places cannot refuse to let people vote if they are in line by 7 p.m.
