Joe Jonas is opening up about the "scary" part of life after his divorce from Sophie Turner.

During a TalkShopLive stream on Wednesday (May 21), the Jonas Brothers musician explained why he felt intimidated to get back into the dating scene after his 2023 split from the Game of Thrones actress, per People. While discussing his new song "Only Love," from his upcoming solo album Music for People Who Believe In Love, Jonas shared his experience of putting himself out there in the name of love, in whatever shape that takes.

"I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again," he said. "It was really scary and intimidating and love takes different shapes and forms. I was rediscovering what that was."

The "Work It Out" singer also shared the advice that his former unnamed flame gave that inspired the new track.

"And this person kinda comically, sarcastically was like. 'It's only love,'" he said, adding that they decided to write a song about it. "Like it was not a big deal, but it was a big deal to me, and a big deal to them. But it's okay to take a leap of faith and just try again and just put yourself out there."

Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in September 2023 after four years of marriage and welcoming two daughters together, 4-year-old Willa and 2-year-old Delphine. The former couple shared a joint statement at the time announcing their "united decision" to "amicably end" their marriage. Their divorce was finalized in September 2024.
